Take a guided tour through Wellington Museum and a trip to Matiu/Somes Island.

Start your journey on a guided tour through Wellington Museum, exploring the unique history and quirks of New Zealand’s capital city. From Maori settlement, European immigration, to the delightfully bizarre Attic. Wellington Museum celebrates the people and the events that have shaped the character and soul of the Capital City of New Zealand and it’s a region.

Then head to the East by West ferry for a short trip across the harbour to Matiu/Somes Island whilst enjoying a classic kiwi lunch of scrumptious fish ‘n’ chips, with magnificent views of Wellington’s famous hilltop suburbs.

Enjoy the island on a self-guided tour discovering the native flora and fauna and explore its fascinating history before returning to the mainland.

Voyage Wellington’s beautiful harbour and soak up its fascinating history on a fun-filled Ship 'n' Chip Tour!
