Gather your whānau and take on the Devonport Staycation Scavenger Hunt!
Based on the not-so-true story of Kanoa the Kākāpō, who, like many New Zealander’s this year, is taking a much-needed kiwi-staycation. After a long journey from her nest on Little Barrier, she finally arrived in the picturesque village of Devonport. Kanoa the forgetful Kākāpō opened her suitcase but to her surprise… there was nothing there! Kanoa needs your help to find all of her missing holiday items!
Find all 10 missing items and you can enter into the monthly prize draw to win a whole host of A.W.E.S.O.M.E prizes!
Buy the official scavenger hunt map, to find out what items are missing and what shop windows to look in, for $4 from Devonport Library or on the New Zealand Red Cross website.
100% of the proceeds will be donated to the New Zealand Red Cross - The Red Cross has been helping the vulnerable and building stronger, more resilient communities for over 100 years. Whether they are delivering a warm meal to someone in need, providing a safe place to sleep after a disaster or giving a care package to newly-arrived former refugee families – New Zealand Red Cross are always there for the people who need them.
The staycation scavenger hunt will run throughout the whole summer, from 21 December 2020 to 31 March 2021.
