A walk-through installation featuring 100s of beautiful lanterns, soundtrack, smoke machines and projection. This spectacular event is presented by the Dunedin Midwinter Celebrations Trust who produce the annual Dunedin Midwinter Carnival.
This is an ideal way for families to celebrate the Summer Solstice and Christmas season. This event is also a fundraiser for the organising trust to support the costs of storing our lanterns. At $18,000 per year, this is a major unfunded expense. Come support our mission to create beautiful and authentic seasonable celebrations.
Please note: this is a walk through an installation that will take anywhere from 15-30 minutes. There is a limit on capacity so there may be a need for people to line up and wait their turn. Don't worry as the line is constantly moving. There will be door sales, eftpos and online sales. Wheelchair and pram accessible.
