Join us for this beginners course in Te Reo Māori. There will be a focus on learning to greet others and introduce yourself to a group, using correct pronunciation. In addition, you will learn about local Māori place names and their meanings. Each session will include simple karakia and waiata.

Mike Davey is a retired advisory and resource teacher in Māori Education in Canterbury and holds a BA (Hons) from Canterbury University in Te Reo Māori. His open and participatory teaching style makes this an ideal place for anyone keen to start their Te Reo learning journey and/or build their confidence in speaking some basic Te Reo.
