Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, workshops with 800 degrees glass will be postponed until further notice.

All registrants have been informed and we are working closely to fine a new time and venue. If you wish to register for either workshops, as there will be two postponed until later in the year or when this pandemic is 'over', you can still do so although dates will have changed from original dates specified here.

Weekend workshop, consists of a Saturday, Sunday and a week following on the saturday after (all from 10am to 4pm). The final Saturday (the weekend after) is held in Susan’s shared studio in Waitoki at 8 Stevens Lane (at art Down the Lane Gallery) where the kiln firing takes place for all workshops.

Please note the dates of the workshops as they are only one full weekend and one saturday a week after. The workshops are not continuous through the week as the schedule suggests. For clarification, just email us and we will happily help.

Fee: 190.00 (full payment to secure your place on the workshop).
Fee includes materials up to 1kg of gaffer lead crystal glass for the workshop.

Three days - one full weekend and one saturday
learn the art of lost wax casting with established glass artist, susan louie of 800 degrees glass. In this fun-filled workshop you will learn about the processes of using various moulds for making a cast piece of work in wax, or using clay to create an open formed cast (2d and small 3d sculptures) students will return the following saturday to learn to divest their moulds and learn basic cold working techniques and take their creations home.

Suitable for those with and without experience.
