With over 30 local artists, 21 events and around 300 works for sale, including ceramics and jewellery, the first-ever Arts Centre Sculpture Festival really will be a feast for your senses.

You'll find all kinds of inspiring and surprising three-dimensional locally created work, selected by the talented curator, Koji Miyazaki.

The festival will be held across the Great Hall and North Quad. There will also be a ceramics exhibition, Miscellany, in Pūmanawa and a harakeke (flax) installation, Permeable in the South Quad, both of which will be free to view during the festival. The Permeable sculpture-dance performance will also be free to the public and will happen between 4-4.30pm during festival weekends, tickets are required.

Festival weekends
Get the full festival experience over two weekends, Friday 13 (Canterbury Anniversary Day), Saturday 14 and Sunday 15, or Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November. Tickets cost: $15 per adult, $5 per student and are free for children under 12 years old. Entry gives you access to the three-dimensional pieces in the Great Hall and North Quad. Food trucks will be available so you can purchase a bite to eat, and then enjoy the sounds of musicians playing live during lunchtimes. You can come anytime of the day between 10 am and 5 pm.

The main festival events are happening during the weekends, and you may wish to book yourself or a youngster into a creative workshop or watch an artist demonstrating their skills and techniques. Tickets for these are sold separately so check out all the event details on the website.

During the week
Pop in for some quieter contemplation of the sculpture in a beautiful heritage setting. Weekday access to the Great Hall and North Quad will be free.

All sales from the Sculpture Festival will benefit both the artist and The Arts Centre, we thank you in advance for your purchase.
