The Great Maungakaramea Bake off and Fete

Maungakaramea is a small country community with a great big country heart.

Personally, l grew up in the country, but have never lived in a community that is so well connected. We are proud to present our inaugural "Bake -off and Fete". My first vision for this was simply a bake -off but it very soon grew to be bigger. The enthusiasm from our locals has been paramount to this being a success.

The Bake-off will take place throughout the morning, with the very well acclaimed New Zealand food critic and publisher (to name a few) Lauraine Jacobs from the Matakana area judging the amazing talents, some created from the Corona Virus days at home.

We have: a resident painter, a wood burning pyrographic artist, a quilt maker, children's clothes, hand made soap, hand made cards, Indian food, plants and seedling, terrariums and many more. Gold coin entry.
