The annual Hibiscus and Bays Art Awards will be hosted by Estuary Arts Centre this year in 2020. Open to any New Zealand resident with entry limited to two artworks per artist.
Every artwork must be original, executed in the past 12 months, not previously exhibited and the sole work of the artist. The exhibition is sponsored by the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board with two to three awards on offer to the premier winners. There is also a range of merit awards and a youth award. The exhibition is free to attend and open daily 7 days a week 9am to 4pm. There is plenty of free parking on the Western reserve and bus groups are also welcome. The Arts Centre can arrange a docent to conduct gallery floor talks.
