The Pornography Project - Community

The New Zealand Centre for Science and Citizenship Trust (NZCSC) is working in collaboration with a small group of young students from Hutt Valley High School on The pornography project. The project starts with a 40 minute play entitled Two Nights.

Two Nights features four superb teenage actors, telling the story of two relationships; one porn-fuelled (nothing explicit is shown) - which makes the young woman uncomfortable and coerces her into doing things she doesn't want to do - and the other healthy and joyful.

The play is designed to get young people talking about the way pornography is altering the way we think about and experience intimacy. After the performance, the students along with our team, workshop situations and scenarios to help young people examine their own relationships. We explore at the impact of pornography on young people in today’s society and the importance of healthy relationships.
