Community workshop:
This is a community workshop event that uses drama and discussion to raise awareness and develop understanding about the effects of pornography in the lives of our young people. Participants will be equipped to have conversations that empower young people to resist pornographic messages. The New Zealand Centre for Science and Citizenship Trust (NZCSC) is working in collaboration with a small group of young students from Hutt Valley High School on The pornography project.
The project starts with a 40 minute play entitled Two Nights. Two Nights features four superb teenage actors, telling the story of two relationships; one porn-fuelled (nothing explicit is shown) - which makes the young woman uncomfortable and coerces her into doing things she doesn't want to do - and the other healthy and joyful.
