Tyne Gordon
Rebecca Hasselman
Andrea Bolima

Often inspired by nature and landscapes, these three emerging female artists explore colour, texture and form through painting. Their practices are an assortment of opposites; abstraction with figuration, opaque yet translucent, chaos and control, expressive yet calming, quick but considered.

Tyne Gordon lives in Ōtautahi Christchurch and completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Canterbury in 2015. Tyne was the recipient of the Olivia Spencer Bower Award 2018, a finalist for the Molly Morpeth Canaday 2D award (2019) and The Parkin Prize (2015 and 2016). In 2016, Gordon travelled to Iceland after receiving the Ethel Susan Jones Fine Arts Travelling Scholarship. Recent exhibitions include Visitor, Toi Moroki Centre of Contemporary Art, Christchurch, Double Dribble, SoFA, Ilam School of Fine Arts, Christchurch and Double Dribble 2, The National, Christchurch. Her work is in the collection of the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetu and the University of Canterbury, Christchurch.
