This exhibition will showcase a combination of Hawke’s Bay Inkers Printmaking Group’s work related to the theme of ‘Sanctuary’ in an urban environment, based on their visits to the Botanical Gardens, displayed with work made by the children attending printmaking workshops.
Join the Inkers and participating children to celebrate the opening of the exhibition. All welcome! Light refreshments will be served.
The aim of this project is to provide an experience that the whole family can share that will create a greater awareness of the natural and cultural significance of the Napier Botanical Gardens. The gardens and cemetery date back to the 1850s and have an interesting history related to the settlement of Napier/Ahuriri.
The exhibition, associated children's workshops at CAN on 7 November, and Treasure Hunt at the Botanical Gardens on 8 November are generously supported by Napier City Creative Communities Scheme.
