Immerse yourself in the stories of Māori women.

This exhibition runs from Tuesday 11 August until Saturday 5 September.

Wāhine showcases the personal stories of Māori women, combining candid interviews, soundscapes and portrait photography to present a series of unique meditations on being a woman in Māori culture.

This exhibition is currently touring New Zealand, growing one woman at a time.

Loren Pasquier is a French artist currently residing in Nelson. Through her rich, nomadic experiences, the feeling of constant transit and movement became a fundamental part of her make-up as an artist. Understanding the importance of communication between communities, Loren has dedicated her work to bridging the gap between cultures, using her acute sense for framing stories to bring people together.

On Saturday 29 August, 11.00am-12.00pm, Loren will be delivering a talk at Richmond Library about Wāhine. You are very welcome to attend.

All welcome.
