Spectacular Speedway Grand Opening – with ground shaking SuperStocks!
On Saturday night the new 2020-2021 Speedway Season gets underway with the Stockcar & Speedway Grand Opening! The sounds of thundering V8’s make their return to Waikaraka Park. New cars and new drivers, all add to the excitement with the Saloons, Camaros, Mustangs, Corvettes, Commodores, all racing door handle to door handle, plus the rough and tumble of the metal crunching Stockcars and the high revving fast and furious SuperStocks racing bumper to bumper.
Visiting drivers always add to the thrills. You will just love the Streetstocks, big Falcons, Commodores, Mercedes and Jaguars in action with their smash and run tactics! If you thought this sounded good – wait until you see the V6 powered Six Shooters racing wheel to wheel for the opening night glory! The Ministocks, with drivers aged from 12 to 16 years will amaze the crowds with their driving skills as they race for the glory of taking the first chequered flag of the new speedway season.
Grab your friends or family and head to Waikaraka Speedway for a great night out. Get your tickets at the gate or from Eventfinda. Chips, Hot Dogs, Burgers, Coffee, hot Chocolate and much more available to purchase on site at reasonable family prices!
Children 7 years and under are free - no ticket is required! Gates Open at 4pm. Racing starts at 7pm.
