You are invited to experience the joy of West African Songs and Drumming in the supportive & fun environment created by Master Drummer Dancer Koffie Fugah from Ghana and an incredible dancer and choreographer, Catherine Schroder from Dunedin, New Zealand.
Bring yourself, family and friends along to two days of pure fun and enjoyment as you learn and experience the joy of West African music, drumming and dances in a relaxed and friendly environment for all.

Koffie Fugah is a master drummer, dancer and story-teller from Ghana, he has been performing and teaching traditional African songs, dance and drumming for over 20 years. In 2013 he migrated to New Zealand. After arriving in New Zealand, he founded the Kadodo West African Drum and Dance School. For the past 5 years, as Kadodo’s Artistic Director, he has been facilitating drum and dance workshops for school, community, and corporate clients all over New Zealand.
His life-long passion is sharing the love of his culture with people and encouraging them to use music to express themselves joyfully.
He loves working with everyone, from children to adult and thoroughly enjoy finding opportunities to share his love of African drumming and dance with everyone.

Catherine is a professional dancer and teacher based in Dunedin, New Zealand. Catherine has been performing and teaching for schools, universities and music festivals in a variety of styles while working with many renowned local and international choreographers, artists, musicians and DJs to create unique performances and films. Catherine completed two years postgraduate study in Dance/Movement therapy and founded Dancers Anonymous to share her love for dance and well-being.

Koffie and Catherine will leave you inspired & rejuvenated, you will have a new song in your heart & a stronger connection to your community as you discover the rhythms and dances of Africa together.
