Poet Jessica Le Bas will be visiting Richmond Library as a guest of the Richmond Writing Group.
In a 2009 article, Jessica wrote, “Poems are small stories, tightly bundled. They are puzzles, sometimes in foreign tongues. The pleasure of poetry can derive as much from the unpicking, the decoding, as from any notion of meaning. The sounds, that juxtaposition of rhythm and rhyme, are a far older joy than our need for logic.”
In this one hour fun and interactive session, Jessica will introduce the elements of good writing and talk about her own writing process.
Don’t miss this opportunity to find out more about writing from one of the experts.
After Jessica’s session, you are invited to join the Richmond Writing Group for an optional hour of discussion or fun writing exercises from 2.00pm-3.00pm.
All welcome. Bookings not required.
