**We're really sorry but this event has been cancelled as part of the wider cancellation of Nelson Heritage Festival 2020. We hope to hold the concerts at another time in the future. Stay safe, everyone! **

Stories untold from between the lines of history.
A unique blend of music and theatre, Wheel of Experience tells the lives and legends of early New Zealand through epic original song.

For Nelson's Heritage Festival 2020, ARDEN’s courtyard will be transformed into an intimate performance space, as David Ward (Guru of Chai, Welcome to the Murderhouse), Peter Daubé (King Skinny, Pop Up Globe) and Dave Khan (Marlon Williams, Don McGlashan) paint vivid stories of struggle, triumph and iniquity from another time. The trio performs live on a vast array of acoustics instruments including banjo, fiddle, mandolin, cigar-box and zhong ruan, as well as hearty vocal harmony. Together they bring alive each rich story in a production steeped in the history it exudes.

Stay for dinner: While the music takes you to another time in New Zealand, you can enjoy all the goodness of food and drink of our time thanks to Arden's delicious selection of wines, spirits and dishes from small bites to a full dinner menu.
All ticket holders (special seating for tamariki on the Sunday show) will be seated but make sure to contact Arden if you're coming as a group: eat.drink@arden.nz

"Neither musical nor theatrical experiences come any more astonishing than the Wheel Of Experience. The three performers seem to have stepped straight out of one of the epic folk ballads that are the basis of this intimate and utterly engaging show. You hear about good performers bringing songs to life, but in this case the songs seem to have given birth to the performers." - NICK BOLLINGER
