Come and get your snorkel on at Whitireia Park! Our guides will help you explore this spectacular underwater world and learn about the amazing creatures living in the coastal waters close to Porirua. Local seaweed experts will be joining us on dry land to share their knowledge of our important underwater gardens.
New snorkelers are encouraged (must be able to swim). Wetsuits, snorkels, flippers and safety gear are provided.
Please note the minimum age is 8 years, and children below 16 must be accompanied by a snorkelling adult.
You don’t need to book just turn up and register for the next available snorkel tour. If you register to attend on the Facebook event, you’ll receive important information and updates. Otherwise you’ll need to check out the Greater Wellington Regional Council and Mountains to Sea Facebook event page on the morning of the event to find out.
What to bring: Togs, towel, sunhat, camera, warm clothes.
We look forward to seeing you there!
