Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland.

This course is presented by Samantha MacKay.

People naturally undervalue their strengths, and overvalue their weaknesses. And so we spend our lives trying to be something we are not.

Understanding the pitfalls of your personality is key to ensuring you play to your strengths. When we overlook what we are naturally good at, we spend our lives trying to “fix” our blind-spots. And then we make career and relationship decisions based on what we are trying to fix, not on who we are.

In this two-day workshop, we go beyond the average personality report and deep dive into the eight elements of personality. We explore the strengths and challenges of each element, and how to leverage your personality to achieve your life goals and aspirations.

And we’ll do so in a practical way. You will have an opportunity to ‘try on’ each element of personality for yourself, and understand how it feels when you are using it.

And by the end, you will have a plan on how to take better care of yourself, your career and your relationships based on the real you, not the person you are trying to be.

Over the two days we will cover:
-The strengths and pitfalls of the eight elements of personality
-How you can make great decisions, again and again
-How you leverage your learning style
-How to de-stress based on your personality
-How to determine your personality type
-The difference between personality type and identity

Bring a packed lunch each day.

Our mission is to provide quality affordable and accessible lifelong learning opportunities for our community.
