In the ruff-n-tumble of politics, the trenches of our courtrooms, the highs and lows and changing science of fertility medicine and the ever-evolving media landscape, these high-profile, yet accessible, leaders are creating change through their ability to influence.

In a panel that promises to be entertaining, informative and definitely lively, four talented and successful female leaders join panel interviewer, Hannah Ockelford, to explore what it means to be influential in their field and how they use influence to effect change.

Honourable Judith Collins – MP for Papakura and the National Party
Judith is one of New Zealand’s most recognised female leaders; she is a long serving and senior politician and former cabinet minister. Prior to entering politics, she had a successful legal and business career. Judith is passionate about equal opportunities for women and encouraging more women into leadership roles.

Marie Dhyrberg QC – Criminal Barrister
Marie has dedicated her life to the law. In her formidable legal career, she has represented some of New Zealand’s most high-profile defendants. She is the ‘go-to’ lawyer for the media, where she regularly gives context to topical and important legal issues within the public domain.

Dr Mary Birdsall – Fertility Specialist and Chair of Fertility Associates
Mary is without doubt our country’s fertility queen. She is a business leader and medical specialist, with a focus on the latest fertility technologies. Mary is also a recognised as a skilled and important spokesperson on fertility issues within the media.

Jenny-May Clarkson – Former Silver Fern and Broadcaster
Jenny-May has excelled both in her sporting career, as a star netballer, and in the media. After an extensive career in broadcasting, she is now one of today’s most recognised faces. Her current role is on TV ONE’s Breakfast show, where she is the News presenter. Jenny-May has talked openly about her own journey to learn Te Reo and is encouraging of others.

Hannah Ockelford – Panel interviewer
Hannah spent the first ten years of her career as a broadcast journalist, working for TV3, RNZ, Newstalk ZB but mostly for TVNZ, before transitioning into the corporate world. After five years in professional services she is now contracting, with panel interviewing one of her key interests.
Join this incredible panel and the Professionelle team to hear a candid insight into how these extraordinary women operate; what’s important to them, what choices have they made in their career and what and who has influenced them.

This event is open to anyone who wants an opportunity to hear from truly inspirational women who have learnt how to influence and are using their skills and experience to make a difference. This is also an opportunity to network with other interesting women from diverse careers and backgrounds.
