About This Event
Planning an event? Join MB for this 1.5 hour workshop where she will show you how to put together a basic promotional plan for your event, go over the elements of a basic press release, and kōrero with you on ways to get the word out.

This is aimed at beginners or those planning events/activities in Rotorua and wanting to work on their planning. The Arts Village runs a large number of events and activities every year, and while we don't have all the answers, we are happy to share what works for our mahi here in Rotorua.

This workshop is part of a range of upcoming workshops being run by The Arts Village team which aim to share our skills and resources with community arts practitioners and events organisers here in Rotorua. Numbers for each workshop are kept small to ensure enough time for everyone to learn and ask questions.

We have another workshop scheduled at the moment for 24th September in "Basic Poster Construction with Accessible Design" which you can check out on the Eventfinda website.

Our grateful thanks to Rotorua Energy Charitable Trust who help make our events and activities possible.

About the tutor: Mary-Beth (MB) is Director here at The Arts Village, and has heaps of experience in developing and delivering promotion plans for events and community projects here in Rotorua. She also has a degree in Public Relations from the University of Waikato, and a background working in professional communications roles.
