Invitational exhibition of senior weavers from around New Zealand including prize winning tapestries, handwoven household linens and soft furnishings, wearables, and sculptures. A very special collection of bespoke items. New works from Marilyn Rea-Menzies of Westport, funky recycling project for bike tubes by Nynke Piebenga of Pirongia, Janie Gummer from Auckland has provided glorious handwoven silk scarves. Maree Liddington from Eltham, shares her love of tramping and travel with her landscape tapestries, whileTrish Armour's fascination with the human body and faces is highlighted in her award winning tapestries, a special chance to see this body of work of the Wellington artist. Isla Fabu practices mindful making and uses traditional slow practices of backstrap loom weaving and spindle spinning to create her exquisite works.
