Yoga Nidra is bliss!

Yoga Nidra literally means Yogic Sleep – and it is the equivalent of 3-4 hours deep sleep. While the idea of course is to maintain awareness and not actually go to sleep, many people do, depending on their state of mind and/or level of exhaustion - and because it is so deeply relaxing. Yoga Nidra works on the deeper levels of your consciousness, so while you do remain aware throughout the practice, your whole body and mind become totally relaxed.

Take some time out for yourself.

Yoga Nidra can be practiced by anyone. You will need to find yourself a comfortable, quiet space where you can relax for 40 minutes undisturbed. You will need to lie on a yoga mat, on your bed, on a blanket on the floor, or if you can't get to the floor, find a comfortable chair to sit on. Make sure you have everything ready when you sign into our Zoom session. Make sure you will be warm and in a space where you will be undisturbed and can lie completely still for at least 30 minutes.

We will start the practice with some simple breathing exercises before moving into Yoga Nidra. If you have an eye pillow, keep that handy. Once you have come into relaxation or savasana pose on the floor – that’s where you stay for about – no movement – there’s nothing you need to do, nothing else you need to think about. All you need to do is follow my voice that is guiding you.

How to use Zoom:
If you haven’t used Zoom before, click the link sent to your email to download Zoom prior to the day of the meeting so you can familiarise yourself with any features you may need to use on the day – mute/unmute microphone, stop/start video, screen share etc.

Join the meeting early – up to 5 minutes before the meeting start time. You will be in the Waiting Room and I will let you in when class is due to start.

If you could all mute your microphones once the class starts as the microphones pick up all sorts of ‘noise’ and we want this to be a peaceful enviro.
