Kia ora, my name is Elise.
I am a fully qualified Viniyoga teacher (750 hours completed) and forever student (1000 hours yoga therapy training in process) with the Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation (KHYF) which is based in Chennai, South East India.

About the class:
This is an ongoing general class for all levels. If you are a beginner then I can guide you into the class accordingly. If you are an experienced practitioner then there are options to extend in this class also.
(I have an alternative class with more rest and seated postures, spaces are limited so please contact me to check for availability)
In the class, we explore the tools of yoga including, Asana (movement), Pranayama (the breath), sound (in the form of chant) ending with a relaxation/guided meditation.
The aim of the practice is to allow more comfort within the body enabling a more focused and conscious mind state. This encourages a place of stability and clarity from which to make our choices in life.
In practicing Viniyoga your capabilities as an individual are respected and catered for by each student being given tools with which to judge and adapt the practice accordingly.
If you are a local then your first class with me is free for you to get an idea of what it is this tradition of yoga is offering and then decide whether to commit to the term.
If you have missed the beginning of the term, that's not a problem I can adjust the price accordingly.
