This class will take you “backstage” behind the sparkly curtain and give you a taste of what #burlylife is like and the opportunity to learn basic skills.
In these weekly in-person classes I will teach you the key moves. The outcome will be an increase in your confidence and a contribution to ideas to empower your experience as a woman.
Getting your sexy back 101 is a 4-week burlesque class where you’ll learn:
Class 1 - Magnetism of anticipation: we’ll have some fun with the historic element of glove and stocking peels.
Class 2 - Power of your energy: through the different forms of strutting and movement.
Class 3 - Impact you make when you tap into the ancestry of the sisters before you: we learn who they are from herstory/history and why they are important.
Class 4 - Potent effects of graTiTude and joy: through the art of shimmying.
Plus show and tells: you get to see costumes and props from an award-winning international performer.
And this comes with a warning: I actively encourage fun and laughter in classes.
During winter 2021, to mitigate covid/flu risks online classes will run alongside in person classes, so if you feel slightly unwell you can still participate but move into the online class. This is the online version of the class.
This sets you up for the next class 102 Foundation Burlesque. You are welcome to repeat this class, there is a repeat price please note enrolment for this will only be allowed if you have taken a Sparkleforce 101 class before.
