Massey University Seminar - 'A History of Pukenamu Queen's Park Reserve - Whanganui's Acropolis'.

Join us at the Alexander Heritage and Research Library Te Rerenga mai o te Kāuru for a talk on the storied history of Whanganui's Pukenamu Queen's Park Reserve, given by Kyle Dalton.

Kyle Dalton completed his BA (Hons) in the History Programme at Massey University on the incident at Handley's woolshed in 1868. His research essay is entitled 'The Dissemination of Newland's Dispatch'. He is an independent History and Heritage consultant in Whanganui, and promotes historical projects and tourism.

This partnership between the Alexander Heritage and Research Library Te Rerenga mai o te Kāuru, the Whanganui Regional Museum and Massey University's W. H. Oliver Humanities Research Academy aims to raise awareness of the presence of history in the local community as well as celebrating students embarking on careers in the rich field of New Zealand historical research.
