The year 2020 has forced the whole planet Earth into long uncertain periods of physical isolation and nationwide lockdowns due to the emergence of the novel-coronavirus “Covid-19” which caused the global pandemic.
For months, bustling streets of world went silent and concert halls were empty. However, few countries including New Zealand have managed to keep the ‘Covid-19’ relatively contained and hence allowed performing arts to resume.
It is during this time that conductor, Jason Bae founded the Afflatus Ensemble in 2021 with a single purpose to present music back to communities and concert halls with arising young talented musicians from New Zealand.
