LOOP

Loop are excited to announce Anna Coddington will be heading out on tour to celebrate the release of her new album, Beams. Following on from a successful solo visit in 2020 previewing the album, Coddington returns to Nelson's Boathouse alongside her band The Appreciations, performing tracks from the new album, alongside her acclaimed back catalogue.

w/ Support from O & The Mo

Released in late-2020, Beams sees Coddington exploring her place in the world across 10 tracks as a mother, musician, Māori & human being. Combining her indie-sensibilities with a pop-edge, the album will be imagined live by Coddington & her band, which features Mike Hall (Pluto), Fen Ikner (LIPS) & Jol Mulholland, collectively known as The Appreciations.

Produced by APRA Silver Scroll-winning duo LIPS, Beams sees Coddington creating her most cohesive piece of work to date - a delightfully upbeat piece of indie-pop, with tinges of self-reflection & sorrow across the board. This new live show will incorporate the new album alongside her back-catalogue, all showcasing Coddington’s stunning voice & songwriting ability..

Since the release of her last album, Coddington has performed with the likes of Fly My Pretties, the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, the Blackbird Ensemble & more. She has also co-written with, and produced for other artists, and composed the original music for the TV series ‘Head High’, all while maintaining a robust writing ethic.
