Anzac Day - Tauranga Dawn Service

Anzac Day is a national day of commemoration observed on 25 April each year. It commemorates those who died serving New Zealand during war while honouring returned and current servicemen and women, past and present.

Join us this Anzac Day, Sunday, 25 April, at one of the many services being held throughout the city.

Tauranga Dawn Service
5.45 am to 7 am, Tauranga RSA Cenotaph, 1237 Cameron Road

Dawn parade timetable
- 5.45 am – assemble at Hayes Avenue
- 5.55 am – march off
- 6 am – service begins

Mount Maunganui Dawn Service
5.45 am to 7 am, Mount Maunganui Cenotaph, Marine Parade (opposite Mount Drury)

A free park and ride service for the Mount Maunganui dawn service will be available from Kawaka Street to Maunganui Road from 5 am to 5.50 am, returning after the service.

Anzac Commemorations Tutereinga Marae
5.30am, Tutereinga Marae, 89 Tanhitu Rd, Te Puna
Parade assemble outside the Marae entrance at 5.30 am.

Tauranga Civic Memorial Service
8.45 am to 10.30 am, Tauranga Memorial Park, Eleventh Avenue
Civic parade timetable
- 8.4 5am – assemble on the grass beside Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre
- 8.55 am – march off
- 9 am – service begins
A free park and ride service will be available from Tauranga Boys’ College to Memorial Park between 8am, and 8.40am, with buses returning immediately after the service.

Mount Maunganui Civic Memorial Service
9.15 am – 10.30 am at Mount Maunganui Cenotaph, Marine Parade (opposite Mount Drury)

Papamoa Civic Memorial Service
11.45 am to 1 pm, Papamoa Memorial, Stella Place beach car park, Papamoa Beach Road

- 11.4 5 am: Assemble on the grass down from Papamoa cenotaph – near Papamoa Pony Club
- 11.55 am: March off
- 12 pm: Service begins

Pyes Pa Remembrance Service
