We're saving art from the skip and framing it for a brighter future.

Incredible artwork is created at a secondary school level and, more often than not, these student art folios end up either in a deep, dark corner of their parents' garage or in the school skip.

The 2021 Art Stars exhibition is making its way to Christchurch’s CBD this September.

VENUE: The Hereford to High Street Atrium

Entrances at 248-250 High Street (between Recycle Boutique & Head Over Heels) and 152 Hereford Street (beside City Fitness)

EXHIBITION: Saturday 25 September – Saturday 09 October, 9am - 6pm daily. FREE Entry.

PARKING: Available above in the Hereford Street Carpark (Entrance 158 Hereford Street)

100 original student artworks and limited edition prints will be exhibited for two weeks alongside works from 20 local guest artists. All artwork is available for sale, all remunerating the Creator. Exhibiting students have been expertly selected from a pool of over 2,000 submissions from 24 participating high schools for a life-changing affirmation and taste of the industry. Everyone is welcome - from serious collectors to art lovers and people who get a buzz from supporting local. This event will get you feeling good about the future of Ōtautahi art.

Filling collector’s homes and hearts, the money raised from art sales goes to the young artists to help them pursue a career in the arts; so far $210,000 has gone back into funding the young creators.

Step up and show your support at Art Stars 2021, an exhibition of Ōtautahi’s future creatives.
