Artist Talk with Jolene Pascoe

Exhibiting artist Jolene Pascoe will be in the gallery at 11am on Saturday 19th June and Saturday 3rd July to talk us through her collection of works on show in High Voltage. All welcome to attend, we look forward to welcoming you.

Jolene Pascoe is an experimental printmaker/artist who lives with her family in Whangarei, Tai Tokerau, New Zealand. Her art practice combines the mediums of printmaking and digital art to create bold, colourful works on glass, perspex and wood.

Pascoe's work is deeply influenced by the values of Manaakitanga, Aroha and Kaitiakitanga instilled in her by her parents, along with her childhood experiences of growing up in the 1970s and ’80s in Aotearoa. Working with and reflecting these values, she assembles nostalgic objects with her retro aesthetic to create vibrant, joyful contemporary works.
