What is Bachata Shines?: Shines are key elements of Bachata dancing and is a complementing part for Bachata partnerwork. You will use shines to interpret different sections in your music and also to have a break from the partner dancing during the dance. Shines can also be done separated, in other words, plain and simple solo dancing!
Who is this course for: Anyone who wishes to excel with their Bachata dancing should most definitely learn shines. This course is for both girls and guys - who are already taking Bachata dance classes from level 1. Beginners are welcome, however, need to have knowledge and understanding of the Bachata basics to make the most of this course. This course will expose you to better understand the footwork, elements, execution, look and feel for Bachata.
Shines is for the most the "missing" part that will complement and enhance your partner dancing - guaranteed. But more importantly, it makes you work on your own dancing. You will go over: body awareness, coordination, timing, turns, musicality, rhythm, weight transfer and distribution, directional changes, general dance technique, balance and much more. All these elements are essential for all solo dancing and partner dancing too. The skills you will learn will set you on a path to hold your own on the dance floor.

Therefore instead of committing to an 8-week course why not do an intensive 4-day course to get your dance fix! Try different styles and still have the freedom to plan a getaway here and there over summer and it will be a quick and easy way to get you having fun on the dance floor in a short amount of time.
No partner necessary! You can come on your own as we rotate partners and everybody gets a chance to meet and dance with everyone.
