Friendly Potential

OOn the 27th March 2021, Friendly Potential will return to Auckland’s iconic Queen’s Wharf waterfront for the second edition of BEACON FESTIVAL - an open-air celebration featuring the best electronic music the world has to offer. This time, BEACON FESTIVAL is excited to host the New Zealand debut of Detroit hero Marcellus Pittman, alongside the welcome return of UK figurehead Ben UFO and atmospheric architect Roza Terenzi, and a peerless local line-up including Alice Agnes, Aw B, BBYFACEKILLA, Benny Salvador, Chaos in the CBD, DIESEL, Dylan Biscuit, Eden Burns, Friendly Potential DJs, Frank Booker, Hugo Jay, Jess Fu, Misa, Scarlett, Uber Driver, Vanessa Worm (LIVE). Alongside this stellar roster, we are inviting international music broadcasting platform Boiler Room to New Zealand for the first time, to beam the dance all around the world.

Over the past six years, Friendly Potential has become a cornerstone of the New Zealand electronic music community. They know the importance of a party’s environment and sound, and consistently realise this with unique, diverse and exciting lineups. There have been afternoon rooftop events with Anno Domini, pop-up nightclub festivals with CATACOMBS, and night-long debuts from electronic music legends. This year, we expand on this vision by inviting international broadcasting platform Boiler Room to New Zealand for the first time, to beam the dance all around the world.

Friendly Potential is an open, inclusive party for people who want to have a good time. We can't relax until you do, so if someone is making you feel uncomfortable please let one of the crew or venue staff know.

Accept one another, be friendly & have fun!
