Join Christchurch Hip Hop’s crowned Underground King “BIG SIMA” for one night only in his only headline show of the year, armed with a full artillery of brand-new bangers from his up-and-coming album “STEREOTYPES OF A POLYNESIAN MISUNDERSTOOD”, and a wide variety of collaborating artists including beat-slayer “INFECTIOUSS”, Local Lyttelton Legends “THE SETTLERS” and Dolphin Friendly front man Sam Mander, he promises this to be the best set you’ll see from him this year!
We also have Wellington’s youngin on the come-up “KING FAME” who is also part of the team of collaborators, he brings golden era lyricism over hearty, low end heavy trap beats!
Rounding out our support line up is And$um! emerging out of the sleepy port town of Lyttelton, And$um has cemented himself as one of New Zealand’s premier hip-hop talents. Regularly featured on major Apple Music and Spotify playlists, including New Music Friday, the 24-year-old artist is one to keep an eye on.
A regular across student radio top 10’s And$um has also been featured on major New Zealand publications such as The Otago Daily Times, The Star, NZ Musician, Sniffers and Under The Radar.

And because we keep the best for last we are stoked to have one of NZ’s most sought after festival DJs, Jayrasik!
He has worked alongside multitudes of local and international artists including L.A.B, Kora, Summerthieves, Katchafire, Sean Kingston, Ja Rule, T-Pain, Ashanti - just to name a few.

DJ Jayrasik is also a regular entertainer at New Zealand’s largest music festivals, and frequently travels for events such as One Love Festival, Splore, Bay Dreams, Homegrown, Goodvibes Festival and more. He has also spent a certain amount of time on-air with stations such as Mai FM and Flava FM. He has established a respectable professional reputation within the music industry, whilst developing many connections and friendships, which have ensured his repeated attendance for many more shows and festivals (new and old) yet to come.
This is a night for the unity of hip-hop culture, a coming together of sorts, and so, to host the night and introduce the acts we’ve got none other than TUCKER XL, one of the OG toast-masters from Christ City.
REAL HIPHOP IS BACK IN C.CITY...
