This exciting trio features Andrea Reid (dulcimer, whistles, vocals), Nick Burfield (guitar and vocals), and Derek Burfield (double bass). Their music draws on many influences but remains firmly rooted in Americana, and they are in the process of recording their first album. They feature strong harmonies; in addition to Andrea's instrumental skills, she is known for her wonderful vocal harmonies - she is the daughter of Jean Reid of SuperSheep and Celtic Ferret. In 2010 Andrea won the Martin Blackman Young Folk Performer’s Award and describes herself as being ‘inspired by many wonderful women of the folk scene throughout her life’.
This lovely concert starts at 7:30 pm, and our regular open mic will follow supper and intermission. Come early though to put your name on the blackboard after 7pm - performers are welcome to perform one song to the supportive audience. Regular concerts are held monthly Feb - Christmas.
