Do you feel like we could be doing better with our litter? Do you feel like we have a problem with litter on our roadsides? This workshop is for YOU - Participate and BE IN TO WIN!
Egmont Village School students and other citizen scientists in the community have been collecting data on Roadside Litter including which BRANDS of litter are ending up in the environment. These young scientist will share what they've been up to so far, what they've learned and what they plan to do to TAKE ACTION to reduce litter.
You will hear from Dr. Trisia Farrelly of Massey University who is a founder of the Aotearoa Plastic Pollution Alliance. She will share some of her insights and what we can do as a community to help educate others about the impacts of plastic pollution and take action.
Lastly, you will be taken through a tutorial (feel free to use your phone or digital device alongside) to learn how to input data to the Litter Action online tool which anyone can contribute data to at any time!
Please register online and you will be sent the ZOOM link to participate through - ALL PARTICIPANTS GO IN THE DRAW TO WIN A ZERO WASTE ECOPACK!
This event is funded by Curious Minds (MBIE) with support of Venture Taranaki and Litter Action NZ
