Join glass artist Heather Kremen in her Rotorua studio for a demonstration of her fused glass murinni roll-up process.

In conjunction with her exhibition 'Changing Landscapes' at The Arts Village, Rotorua (2 July-24 July 2021), Heather Kremen will demonstrate the process and techniques that go into making these intricate works.

Over the course of 4 hours, you will be taken through all the steps that go into creating a finished murinni roll up piece, a process that usually takes weeks or even months to come together. This demonstration will take place in our fusing studio and hot glass studio, allowing you to see firsthand how we go from sheets of flat glass to murinni cane tiles to a final blown vessel.

Heather is the only artist in New Zealand making this style of glass art. The opportunity to see this specialized and technically challenging form of glass making live in person is not to be missed.
