Drop in to a brand new pop-up comedy night at The Fringe Bar and get set for CHOP SHOP!
Monfu, the creators of The Birdmann and Egg and ODDACITY, is pleased to announce an all new night of alt-comedy. Taking a side-step away from traditional stand up while mixing in elements of circus, original music, queer performance and antique furniture and diving head first into well-crafted cutting edge humour. Like a good indie movie, your favourite punk rock band or a food truck that you'd travel twenty kilometres to just to get the best late-night kebab, Chop Shop is an acquired taste for the comedy connoisseur yet well worth sampling.
Engage with Wellington's top up-and-coming comedy innovators led by icons of the international fringe circuit and nominees for “Most Original Comedy” at the Edinburgh Fringe, Trent H Baumann and Sachie Mikawa, a.k.a The Birdmann and Egg featuring local legends Jules Daniels, Booth the Clown, Kipling Davies-Colley and a couple more stylish special guests.
It will be fun and a little bit different, hopefully, like 2022. And we are also seriously considering investing in some Xmas lights, so it feels all festive and stuff.
