This walk begins at the beautiful Victoria Esplanade in Palmerston North City, then travels along and over the Manawatu River on the new walkway bridge, He Ara Kotahi that goes from the city to Bells Road Linton Military Camp. This walk will take you through a number of small forests, one being Keebles Bush a native podocarp broadleaf forest. You’ll experience great views across the city, and over the Manawatu River out to the Tararua and Ruahine Ranges, to Massey University and our beautiful surrounding countryside. With stopping points along the walkway you will have time to learn more about the area, including the newly created Eel feeding platform as well as the Kahutarawa Stream Restoration Project and enjoy the scenery, making this a very rewarding walk.

A bus will bring you back from Bells Road, Linton at 2.45pm, to the start of the walk in the Esplanade.
