Comedy Crash Course - Rangiora

Go from zero comedy experience to being ready for your first open mic in just 2 hours at the Comedy Crash Course Workshop!

Signing up to your first comedy night can be daunting, many questions swimming around in your head — How do I sign up? How long is my set? What is the running order? How does the mic work? What’s it like under the spotlight? Are my jokes funny? How do I write a joke?

You’re in luck! At this workshop, Neil Thornton of the NZ Comedy School will take everybody through a Crash Course to get you ready for your first open mic, answering all of the questions above, as well as any others you might have. It’s like a “Couch to 5k” program, but with comedy! Couch to 5 minutes!

Neil has been teaching for over 25 years and working as a stand-up since 2007. You can check out www.nzcomedyschool.com for his full rundown, but in short, it’s a huge opportunity to have Neil down to learn from.

If you’re interested, but not in North Canterbury, we also have a workshop at the Rolleston Rugby Club on the 19th of November from 7pm - 9pm.
