It’s a comedy blockbuster with two comedians delivering their delightful and insightful solo shows back to back. This summer south island tour is a chance for audiences to jump in for either or both of these hilarious shows - making it a wonderfully affordable start, middle, end, or entirety of an evening. Each show runs around 60mins long and sees stand up comedy and story telling combined for a delightful evening of laughter.
Tim, a Cromwell local and Steven, an Auckland not so local regularly produce shows as Remarkably Funny and Paper Goat, respectively. Both producers work hard year round to bring laughs to those in their communities. The Comedy Double Feature is a chance for them two hit the road for a mini-South Island tour bringing their laughter to a town near you.
About the shows:
Tim Müller is 100% HAPPY, a show about happiness, family, and the importance of manufacturers of basic grocery staples making realistic and defensible claims in their marketing materials. After accepting a challenge from a bag of generic-brand flour, Tim embarks on an epic journey to achieve perfect happiness, or be miserable trying. Tim's second solo comedy show follows on from LAUGH NOW, GOOGLE LATER (NZ International Comedy Festival 2017). He’s a writer, performer, founder of the fresh but thriving Southern Lakes comedy scene and his parents were on Country Calendar once.
Steven Lyons (Nz Comedy Guild Nominated Best MC 2019) has performed comedy around the globe and makes comedy hugs for your ears with his absurd yet empathetic wordplay and views on life. In his debut solo show, DEEP CUTS, Steven shares stories of scars and silliness. Born in California and raised in Nz Steven is now back home in NZ where he’s been warming up audiences for TV Three’s The Project & 7 Days, writing for tv and performing wherever he can find a microphone.
At 7pm, Müller's show 100% HAPPY explores happiness, family, & flour (mainly the first 2). Then at 8:30 pm, in DEEP CUTS, Lyons shares stories of scars & silliness.
