Are you currently on a Kāpiti Community Governing Board/Committee?

We are partnering with Mentoring Foundation New Zealand and the National Strategy for Community Governance to pilot a Governance Mentoring Programme right here in Kāpiti. The programme is free and will run for 6 months, starting on June 15th with an orientation/training workshop.

Application to the mentor programme is open to anyone that is currently on the Governing Board/Committee of a community/not-for-profit group in Kāpiti. You will be matched with an experienced mentor whose skills and experience overlap with your current needs. You will receive programme training/orientation, six mentoring sessions, access to a learning network and support throughout the programme period.

The mentoring model is aimed to increase your effectiveness in community governance by developing your capability, connection and confidence.

'Mentoring is a relationship that supports and encourages the leadership journey of individuals and thier organisations'

Increase your effectiveness as a leader for your community organisation and be part of the first pilot as part of the National Action Plan For Community Governance. Register your interest below or contact manager@volunteerkapiti.org.nz if you would like more information.

Supported by the Capable Sector Project (a collaborative between Volunteer Kāpiti and Kāpiti Impact Trust - funded by the Kāpiti Coast District Council).
