Coping with Challenging Situations - drop-in meditation classes with Birgit Saunders.

Stress and anxiety have the power to destroy our peace of mind and rob us of our happiness.

It can present itself in different ways, from a knot in our stomach to feeling restless and not being able to sleep.

It can sneak in as a vague sense of irritation or impatience, and may just look like a raised eyebrow, or silence rather than kindness.

We will explore how much of the stress and tension we normally experience comes from our mind.

Through training in meditation and mindfulness we can reduce this stress.

We will discover how we can learn to view every challenging situation we meet with the wisdom and peace of mind that enables us to accept and work with it more constructively.

In this way we will be free of the normal stress we often experience in these situations.

Gradually we will develop the inner resilience and confidence to view every challenge we meet as an opportunity for personal growth and development.

In this way we can all learn what it means to live stress-free and genuinely happy.

If something can be remedied
Why be unhappy about it?
And if there is no remedy for it,
There is still no point in being unhappy - Shantideva

In this course, Birgit will provide clear, positive and practical teachings and meditations to help us recognise, deal with, and eventually overcome our anxiety and stress.
