Desi Waack is a style created by Jaydess which is influenced by her Indian heritage, Bollywood music and Waacking.
The workshop is open from ages 8 and up, all dance experience and styles are welcome to join.

What Is Waacking?
Waacking is a form of dance created in the LGBT clubs of Los Angeles during the 1970s disco era. Waacking consist of movements of the arms and hands done typically to disco music. It also has elements of poses, floor work, drama and musicality. Learn the basic elements from Jaydess at her workshop.
About Jaydess
Jaydess Nand is New Zealand’s expert in Waacking and is nationally and internationally recognised as a specialist in the style with a lot of knowledge and experience to share. She studied in NYC at Broadway Dance Center and has travelled the world exploring dance. Jaydess has taught, battled, judged and performed in NZ, Australia, Thailand, Fiji, Vietnam, Canada, USA and South Korea. Founder of The Jaackers NZ crew and with expertise in specific styles, she brings a feminine approach and a technical eye to her classes.
