Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland.
This workshop, new in 2021, runs on Saturday 26 June 9am - 4pm.
It will help you develop an understanding of how to effectively communicate and build relationships with people from other cultures. You will identify potential barriers to successful intercultural communication and understand how an awareness of our own and other cultures can influence attitudes and behaviour.
Expected Learning Outcomes:
-Identify barriers to intercultural interactions
-Improve cultural awareness
-Learn to empathise with people from other cultures and appreciate diversity
-Understand how to communicate appropriately and effectively and how to improve intercultural competencies
A course fee subsidy is available for NZ citizens and permanent migrants. This subsidy is provided through funding from the Tertiary Education Commission.
