Famed graffiti artist Banksy described this award-winning documentary as, “A film about a man who tried to make a film about me."

Banksy fiercely guards his identity to avoid prosecution, so it was no surprise when he refused to be filmed by eccentric French shop owner, Thierry Guetta.

Exit Through the Gift Shop traces Thierry's attempts to capture the world of graffiti art, following many of the most infamous graffiti artists at work in the streets. The documentary shows how Thierry's efforts to locate and befriend Banksy lead the artist turning the camera back on its owner with spectacular results.

Exit Through The Gift Shop is a 2011 Academy Awards nominee for Best Documentary, Features. It is also an Independent Spirit Awards winner for Best Documentary.
