Drawing and Painting for Beginners

Use acrylic paints and pencils to create drawings, paintings, landscapes, abstracts and more.
Create paintings and drawings of objects, landscapes, abstracts and more in pencils and acrylics. You'll also get a basic introduction to illustration techniques for cards, books and other creative works.

Please bring A4 sketch pad, 2B and HB pencils, a rubber and a ruler to the first session. A list of other materials, acrylic paints and brushes (approx. cost $20) will be given on the first night. Bring along $5 (cash) to pay for watercolour paper and canvas boards.

By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
- Draw with pencil, charcoal and water-soluble pencils
- Mix colours
- Use both the glaze and impasto technique of painting with acrylics
- Demonstrate knowledge of art composition and choice of subjects
- Apply techniques to your own artwork

Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly.
