Auckland Sea Kayaks will be running a 3 day 2 night Duke of Ed adventurous journey expedition which can be used for your Silver practice or qualifying. This is an exceptional way to do the requirements for Duke of Ed in a fun, safe and unique way.
Sea Kayaking is a great way to fulfil the requirements for the expeditions and we have worked with many schools to achieve this in a fun, safe and professional manner. Our aim of this aspect of the DOE award is to encourage young people to develop an awareness of the environment and the importance of protecting it.
Auckland is one of the world’s most unique sea kayaking locations. It is a region of exceptional natural beauty, volcanic islands, sandy beaches and is abundant with wildlife. The sheltered waters of the gulf make it a kayaker’s paradise
and are waiting to be discovered.
We have been paddling in the Hauraki Gulf for 16 years and have a some exceptional locations to run these journeys through depending on the weather.
This is subject to change based on the weather forecast, groups ability and experience. More information is available on request and discussed at the planning meeting.
