Spend the day discovering your next obsession - eco-printing on silk!
In this small group workshop you will forage for leaves to print (weather permitting), create some experimental eco-print bundles on pieces of silk fabric and then eco-print a silk scarf.
Through these activities you will learn:
- about leaf selection
- about printing onto silk
- how to make your own iron mordant
- what basic equipment you will need to eco-print at home
- about fabric suppliers for eco-printing
All materials for printing, including sample fabrics and a silk scarf to print, are included in the course.
I will have additional silk scarves available for you to purchase for a small additional price on the day if you choose - you may want to take a few home with you to keep going.
You will come away from this workshop with a new creative obsession as well as some pieces of silk fabric and a scarf that you have eco-printed yourself.
Numbers are strictly limited to 6 participants. For safety reasons this workshop is not suitable for children.
