It’s not Christmas without seeing your favourite family film! Buddy the elf is back at Otago Museum spreading Christmas cheer in our Perpetual Guardian Planetarium!

When young Buddy falls into Santa's gift sack on Christmas Eve, he's transported back to the North Pole and raised as a toy-making elf by Santa's helpers. But as he grows into adulthood, he can't shake the nagging feeling that he doesn't belong. Buddy vows to visit Manhattan and find his real dad, a workaholic publisher.

Christmas at Otago Museum is magical. There are activities and performances all weekend to get you in the Christmas spirit, from our famous Makerspace crafts with the Christmas elves, to choirs singing all your favourite carols in our beautiful decorated space.

Film screening restricted to ages 3 and up. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available from the Museum Shop, or online. Rated G, 96 Minutes
